924 WEST END AVENUE
Preserving the legacy of this landmarked icon required a surgical approach to heritage restoration, centered on the high-altitude replacement of its historic limestone facade. Each custom-carved block demanded an intricate installation process, where millimeters meant the difference between a seamless match and a compromised aesthetic. From the meticulous integration of modern vapor barriers to the precise hand-setting of every stone, this project balanced heavy-duty engineering with the exacting detail necessary to honor the building’s architectural soul.
108 EAST 91ST STREET
During a facade investigation, we evaluated several ornamental faux balconies exhibiting significant displacement and cracking in the terra cotta. Upon exposure, the underlying steel outriggers were found to be severely corroded with substantial section loss, creating "jacking" forces that compromised the masonry. Because the building is not landmarked in NYC, we provided the ownership with options for reconstruction in kind, replacement with lightweight GFRC stones, or complete removal.
To prioritize long-term cost-effectiveness and ease of future maintenance, the owners elected to completely remove the balconies. The structural steel was cut back and the facade was closed using matching face brick, permanently eliminating the risks associated with the deteriorating cantilevered assemblies.

45 CHRISTOPHER STREET
This project involved the comprehensive replacement of the main roof railings. While the building itself is not individually landmarked, its location within the Greenwich Village Historic District necessitated formal approval from the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC).
The new railing system was designed and installed to meet modern safety standards while remaining sensitive to the historic context of the neighborhood. By securing the necessary landmarks permits, we ensured that the updated rooftop safety features integrated seamlessly with the building’s aesthetic profile and the surrounding district's requirements.

25 EAST 69TH STREET
This project involved the replacement of the penthouse roof and terrace pavers to address persistent leaks impacting the apartment below. The scope of work included the installation of a new multi-level roofing system and durable pedestal pavers, ensuring both watertight integrity and a functional outdoor living space.
As part of the remediation, we also reconstructed the masonry parapets, incorporating new through-wall flashing and stone copings to prevent future water infiltration at the roof perimeter. This systemic approach not only resolved the interior moisture issues but also modernized the penthouse’s structural and aesthetic finishes.
20 WEST END AVENUE (HESCHEL SCHOOL)
We conducted a FISP (Facade Inspection & Safety Program) cycle inspection for this property to ensure compliance with NYC Department of Buildings regulations. While the building features a modern non-masonry curtain wall system, NYC law mandates regular inspections for all structures over six stories, regardless of construction material. Our team performed the required close-up examinations and filed the necessary reports to maintain the building’s compliant status and ensure the long-term safety of the exterior envelope.
